Hereford Independent School District is proud to announce the hiring of Mr. Christopher Norton as the district’s new Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Mr. Norton brings with him a wealth of experience and a passion for educational excellence that will greatly benefit the students and educators of Hereford ISD.
Mr. Norton currently serves as the Region 16 Coordinator of Curriculum and Instruction, where he has played an instrumental role in supporting school districts across the region with innovative and effective instructional practices. His journey in education began as a classroom teacher, and over the years he has served as an assistant principal, principal, and leader in the field of curriculum and instruction.
In 2009, Mr. Norton was recognized as the Region 16 Elementary Teacher of the Year, a distinction that highlights his dedication to student success and instructional excellence. His deep understanding of curriculum design and implementation makes him an exceptional fit for Hereford ISD’s mission to empower every student to reach their full potential.
Mr. Norton’s leadership is expected to further strengthen the district’s academic programs, align instructional strategies across all campuses, and continue fostering a culture of continuous improvement and achievement.
