A few months ago we posted about one of our talented students, Sol Lara Lopez, and her accomplishment of being named the 2024 AMET Art Scholarship Recipient. This week, she was able to attend the annual Association for Migrant Educators of Texas Conference where she was recognized with her family. Sol's artwork, "Anchored in Excellence: Rising Together" has been featured across many of the conference's publications, including their program and ID's! We are so proud of Sol and the way she has represented Hereford ISD! #HERDProud #ArtinEducation

Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our students and staff due to the late football game out of town, and a shortage of staff and substitutes, all Hereford ISD campuses will be closed and classes will be canceled on Friday, November 22nd. We hope everyone takes this time to enjoy a restful and safe Thanksgiving break. Please note, there will be no need to make up this day, as we will be using our extra instructional minutes to cover it. Thank you for your understanding and support. We wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
