At last night's school board meeting, we celebrated our incredible students who excelled at the SkillsUSA competition and wished them luck at state! 🎉 We also recognized our amazing Northwest Elementary campus and congratulated the HHS Cheer squad on their outstanding performance at the UIL State competition.
We also want to give a big thank you to FirstBank Southwest for their generous donation to Hereford ISD!

Yesterday evening, we had the privilege of honoring the remarkable service of former superintendent, Sheri Blankenship. With 30 years of dedication to education, Mrs. Blankenship leaves behind a lasting legacy. Hereford ISD extends its heartfelt gratitude for the time, contributions, and commitment she has given to our district, staff, community, and, most importantly, our students. We wish you a joyful and well-deserved retirement!

Schools and communities play a big part in recognizing, addressing, and preventing teen dating violence. By encouraging positivity and putting preventive measures in place, they can help teens recognize the signs of abuse before it gets out of control and give them somewhere to turn if it happens to them. If you or someone you know is experiencing teen dating violence, tell a trusted adult, whether it’s a parent, teacher, or school counselor. They can offer emotional support and help you figure out how to protect yourself. Hereford ISD is fortunate to have our School's in Communities staff to help educate and offer a safer environment.
Empowering the future, one student at a time! HISD Grant Services is committed to providing prevention education that equips students with life skills, positivity, and the tools they need to thrive. The filing window opens today for individuals interested in running for a seat on the Hereford ISD Board of Trustees for Precincts 1 and 3. Contact Naoli Ruiz at the HISD Administration Building at 806-363-7600 for more information and requirements for filing an application for a place on the ballot. The filing deadline is February 14th.
